My Bio
Some concern has been expressed about my lack of a bio so here we go.
I was born in Philadelphia, PA and lived the first half of my life right outside the city in East Lansdowne in Delaware County. I moved into Philadelphia about 27 years and ago and have been here since. I went to Drexel University right after High School and went full time for 3 years and then at night for 7 years until I graduated.
Music has always been a part of my life. My Mother's family had a piano building, repair and supply company that came over from Germany. My Father and his father also work for the same company. I studied piano as a child and later the clarinet and the bassoon (wanted oboe got bassoon). I took up singing late in High School and have been at it since. I have been a member of Singing City Choir of Philadelphia since 1988 ( Singing City ). I have traveled to Russia and Cuba with them and will soon be going on a tour of Ireland and Northern Ireland. I also sing at area churches.
I had an interest in photography many years ago and gave it and the camera up. I began digital photography a little less than 3 years ago after I got my first home PC. I am on my 7th camera, Nikon D70s and still have and use an Olympus C-750UZ and Fuji S7000. Changes to those may be in the offing. Time will tell.
Since September of 2002 I have had over 2,700 Pictures of the Day, Week or Month. I enjoy the medium to excess and it consumes me more than I wish to admit. I love it anyway and hope that I can keep improving.
